The Village of Clinton, Wisconsin

We invite you to come and experience the “hometown” feeling of our small village.  While there are plenty of newer residents in our Village, you will always run into someone who has lived in Clinton a long time.  Clinton’s residents are the true heart of this community.  It’s a place that even after someone moves, they still call Clinton home!

Detailed Cty Highway 140 Information: Updated 8/21/2025

  • The Highway 140 North Project started June 16 and end in the late fall.

  • The project will be starting near Hwy 14 with two “box culvert” repairs. The northern most box culvert is completed with the box culvert south of Avalon under construction.

  • Highway 140 is “soft closed” (local traffic only, no semi traffic) from just North of I-43 to Larsen Rd. From Larsen Rd to Hwy 14, Highway 140 is "hard closed" to all vehicle traffic to complete the "box culvert" work.

  • Once the “box culvert” work is completed, Highway 140 will be “hard closed” to all traffic, North of the I-43 entrance / exit ramps to Highway 14.

  • The area surrounding the I-43 entrance / exit ramps will “milled & resurfaced”, however will remain open during the project with flaggers when necessary.
