Residential Waste Services: 

Every Thursday except weeks containing a Federal holiday (picked up on Friday). 

Residential Recycling Services: 

Every other Thursday except weeks containing a Federal holiday (picked up on Friday).

The Department of Public Works asks all citizens wanting their recyclables and trash to be picked up to have their receptacles along the curb by 6:00 AM on the days of pick up.

2026 HOLIDAY WASTE SERVICES SCHEDULE 

Collection will be delayed by one day if the holiday falls on or before your pick up day during the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, your pick up will NOT be delayed.  

There is NO COLLECTION on: 

New Year's Day, 

Memorial Day

July 4th

Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day 

Christmas Day

Compost Site, Burning Permits, Electronics & Large Item Disposal

Burning Permit

Burning Permits are free of charge and can be obtained by calling the Clinton Fire Department at 1-608-676-5550 or the non-emergency dispatch number 1-608-757-2244.

Electronics Disposal

 For disposal of electronics contact Universal Recycling Technologies

 1-608-754-3400 located in Janesville. Electronics can also be brought to the compost site during days / hours of operation.

Village Compost Site

Yard waste will be accepted at this site. Electronics can also be brought to the compost site during days / hours of operation.

NOTE:  To access the compost site use Milwaukee Street to Industrial Drive south to Punzel Drive then east to Scot Drive.  (Scot Drive from Delco Drive to Punzel Drive is now a private road and should not be used by the public.)

Appliance, Furniture, Large Trash Pick-Up

Call Badgerland Disposal at 1 (608) 580-0580 to let them know you have a large item. The second Thursday of the month is bulk item pickup day. 

Operation Clean Sweep

Clean Sweep is an annual drop-off for HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS from residents and eligible businesses.

 Clean Sweep is open to all Rock County residents.  Due to high demand and limited event days, advance registration is required for all events.

Saturday, June 28, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at City of Beloit Public Works

Saturday, August 23, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Rock County Publics Works, Janesville. 

Dane County Clean Sweep is open all year, separate rates and conditions apply
